Profile
Founded by Worry Kinoshita in 2002, performance group “Original Tempo” creates works where no words are exchanged. Since its beginning it had transcended traditional notions of theatre, music and dance. Using voice, the body and everyday objects such as water, wood, board, and television sets in bizarre ways, the group has garnered acclaim for “manipulating the ordinary and repainting them into entertainment”. Successful tours around the world have led their performance to be branded as the “work of the next-generation’s youth culture of Japan”.
