This exhibit is a joint project
between the Tokyo and Kyoto branches of the National Museum of Art.
It brings together a range of their works,
featuring some of Japan’s most celebrated artists.

This exhibition comprises 57 oil paintings by 50 artists
who are the leading-lights of modern Japanese art.
They embody the development of the western artistic tradition
through the Meiji, Taisho and Showa eras.
Featured artists include Shigeru Aoki, Seiki Kuroda, Takeshi Fujishima,
Sanzo Wada, Ryuzaburo Umehara, Ryusei Kishida, Sotaro Yasui,
Tetsugoro Yorozu, Tsuguharu Fujita, Taro Okamoto and Yayoi Kusama.

■Free Child-Care Service

Details: This service is available to carers who wish to view the exhibition,
and is open for children aged between 6 months and school age.
10 places are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
